Runnn, fatty!

College student.
Organic aficionado.
I started my weight loss journey in November 2009 after watching Food, INC. I weighed 276 pounds and wore a size 22.

I follow back all those who do not promote an unhealthy way of losing weight, because the destructiveness of the thinspo community scares the shit out of me.

Size 16, for now.

A: 20 [07.05.91]
H: 5'7"
HW: 276 [11.21.09]
CW: 232 [07.29.11]
GW: 220
GW: 200
GW: 191 - no longer obese!
GW: 180
UGW: 176 or a size 10.

Let's inspire one another to be the happiest we can be.

I need motivated in the worst possible way.

I went on birth control and gained 20 pounds in three weeks.
Twenty pounds.
THREE WEEKS.
Do you have any idea how long it took me to lose that 20 pounds?
A lot longer than three weeks, let me tell you.

I was on it for two months before I decided it just wasn’t worth it. As a person who does her best to avoid artificial hormones of any sort, it was wreaking entirely too much havoc on my body to continue using it.

I’m having the hardest time finding motivation to do the work to get back down to 232.
I could really use new recipes, exercises, and just some general words of encouragement.

I’d really, really appreciate it.

I think this is what I’ll look like in about 20 pounds. Hopefully. Hopefully hopefully.

I first saw Crystal Renn when she started modeling for Lane Bryant. My mom and I received Lane Bryant ads in the mail, and month after month I noticed the same beautiful woman with thick eyebrows modeling their clothing. I never really paid her much mind until I learned her name and what she had experienced in the straight size [read: skinny as shit] modeling industry. For those of you who don’t know her history, here’s a little visual for you.

I won’t really say too much more, because I don’t think I’d do her story justice. All I can say is that as an American twenty-something who has always struggled with her weight, I honestly cannot think of a better role model than a woman who learned to love herself at any healthy size.

If there is still a Borders open in your area, go pick up her autobiography for a whopping $1.80. It’s worth it, I promise.

I’d love to get to these measurements before I come home for summer 2012.

They still don’t fit the absolute best, but I’m doing another ten-day juicer starting on August 1st.

Who knows… maybe I’ll lose another twelve pounds[!] on that one, too, and I’ll be in these pants before I move into my apartment on the 19th.

It would be awesome to go back to college 20-30 pounds lighter than when I left in May.

I’ve lost ten pounds since Wednesday.

In a completely healthy way. : ]

Watch “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” on Netflix to find out how and do it for yourself.

Go watch “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.” right now. Whatever you’re doing at this moment can take a backseat. It’ll change your life.

Still not convinced? Well, by doing what Joe Cross does in the documentary, I’ve lost five pounds in two days. My brother has lost six, and my mother has lost four. We’re not talking about the average American losing some water weight when they start a diet; we’re talking about some extremely health-conscious individuals who already lead a predominantly organic lifestyle.

Seriously, go.

After three weeks of not knowing my ass from a hole in the ground, I’m back. I’m sorry I disappeared like that on you guys. Even more than that, I’m sorry I disappeared like that on myself.

In other news, P90X starts on the 16th. I’m absolutely terrified.
